Welcome to a gallery
of my past creations.

Below is a sampling of my past work. While many of the pieces displayed here are 'one of a kind' items, due in large part to the unique 'canvas' on which they are created, you can see examples of both the style and range of my work. Some of the pictured items are now owned by customers, family and friends who have allowed me to photograph them for inclusion in this 'gallery.' Others (priced) are available for purchase. By clicking on any of the easel mounted thumbnails, you can view a larger version of that same photo.

Enjoy!

Willie Chair
This 'Willie Chair' was created for a special "Willie Art Show" when Mr. Nelson himself came to our little town of Eureka Springs for a special performance in September of 2000. . After being displayed, it was bid on at an auction which include other 'Willie' artwork made for the event, by the many artists who live and work here, with the proceeds going to the Eureka Springs Historic Downtown Auditorium.

From my 'weaving period,' this wall hanging is made using wool yarn. Measuring 14" wide and 24" long, it features irregular stripes of gray, pink and maroon on a off white background.

Big Daddy Mural
This mural (located at Big Daddy's Bar-B-Que in downtown Eureka Springs) is approx. 8' sq. Using the wood grain for inspiration, it is painted with Acrylic enamel using glitter glue and glass beads for accents and embellishments. Hidden in the branches are small houses and a tiny "Big Daddy's" with the mural replicated. Click on image at left for closeup and full view.

After working in our cabinet shop for years, I began to see colors (beyond the muted earth tone browns) in the plywood surface. Now I am making these colors come to life in this 'Isle Of Ply'. Painted on Knotty Pine Plywood using acrylics and glass beads it features solid oak framing.

Moongems
This piece, entitled 'Moon Gems' is painted with acrylics on oak plywood. The scene continues around the edge creating it's own frame. The oval canvas is 17" wide by 11" high.

'10 Trees' is painted on a 17" diameter oak plywood canvas. Following the wood grain for inspiration, I have again used acrylic paint and texture gel glass beads, letting some of the natural wood show through.

Moon Chair
This 'Moon Chair' which can be seen at the Mud Street Cafe, is a sample of what happens when the chairs 'let me know when they want to be painted' (see my bio, if you want to be a little less confused). Painted with acrylics on an antique oak chair, the back has ribbons with bells attached.

$150.00
